Thousands of years ago, the Chosen retreated to Septerra's outer continent. Masters in bio-technology, the Chosen look down with utter disdain at all those living on the other continents. Just how much they care about those living beneath them is illustrated by their trash disposal method - they simply dump it over the edge of their world and most of it ends up landing on Shell Two - right underneath the Chosen. The blue-haired Maya belongs to a group known as the Junkers - residents of Shell Two. Maya and her friends scrounge through the junk piles looking for anything usable, constantly looking out for the giant battleships of the Chosen - fearsome creations whose presence bodes only evil. But what the Junkers don't know is that the Chosen have found the Twin Keys of the Creator. This discovery has prompted them to abandon their self-imposed exile and return to the Lower Shells.
